This week the children have been reading the book 'Owl Babies’. They have enjoyed listening to the story and joining in with repeated refrains. As well as discovering some information about owls and other nocturnal creatures. 

As part of our morning routine, we have introduced our calendar to the children. This is a lovely way to talk about the seasons, weather and days of the week as well as learning some great songs too. 

We have started to discuss the season of Autumn with the children and they have been enjoying discussing the changes we can see in our garden as well as watching a BBC video which has created a lot of great talking points on the carpet. They have especially enjoyed discussing the fireworks and the leaves falling from the trees. I will share the link below for anyone who would like to watch it with their children.
