In our computing lessons this week, Year 1 have been learning how to search the Internet safely for information on a particular topic. This is more of a challenge than it might sound for Year 1, as most of us are used to using touch screen devices. We are slowly developing our skills with a keyboard and mouse, so that we are able to log on to the computer and then enter a one-word term into a search box. One of our key findings is that computers are actually not very clever and cannot work out what we mean if we make a small mistake in what we enter. However, with more practice we will get the hang of this very soon-perhaps we could practice little at home over half-term?
