Year 6
Auditions and science
This week, we have held auditions for the end of year production. Every child has had the opportunity to perform a short drama scene in groups of 4 with their peers. Over half-term, the children will have scripts to begin to practise and learn their lines.
In science, we have begun our new topic of animals including humans focusing on the role of the human circulatory system. We have used our scientific skills of observation and accurate recording to identify and describe components of blood and their respective functions. In geography, we have continued our topic of trade and economics and have further explored the role of exporting and importing in the UK. In English, we wrote thought bubbles from a range of character perspectives and will apply this to our writing after half-term to write a diary entry from the perspective of a character at the ‘Reaping’.
