This term, we have been reading Michael Bond's Paddington. We started by writing a witness statement from the point of view of the taxi driver - Paddington caused a stir, getting jam and cream all over the interior of the taxi! Then we planned a letter to Aunt Lucy in Darkest Peru explaining what it was like staying in London, and most recently, we have been learning how to write instructions. Last Friday, we made marmalade sandwiches and, this week, we made marmalade twists using puff pastry. Paddington loves marmalade and most of Year 2 seem to too.
