Year 2
English and DT
It has been a busy week in Year 2. The children have been working very hard and enjoying learning all about Paddington and his exploits at the Brown's house.
We learnt how to write a set of instructions and made marmalade sandwiches. Some of them enjoyed eating them, others not so much!
Next week, we will also be making marmalade twists. We decided Paddington might fancy a change from time to time.
In maths, the children have been looking at the relationship between doubling and halving, doubling two-digit numbers and halving two-digit numbers. Next week the children will be recapping 2, 5, 10x tables, learning about equal grouping and unequal grouping. We will also start to look at division expressions and problems.
In science, we will start to look at microhabitats, and continuing dance and throwing and catching in PE.
