Year 1 have hit the ground running with our learning in our first week of the new term. Along with our work in phonics, English and maths, we have begun learning about algorithms and why they are important for programming computers and other devices. We have learnt that the most important thing about algorithms is to get the steps in the correct order, and that algorithms can be applied to everyday tasks such as getting dressed.

May we take this opportunity to remind all our parents of the importance of reading at home. Please remember to record your child's home reading in their record book. We are intending to start a weekly reading challenge this term!
